Oh, Keith, I’m so glad it inspired you. You must take in the other Great Lakes. At the very least, put Traverse City and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore on your bucket list. It’s spectacular.
what a great sharing of the adventures . . . i long to do that route myself. maybe next year? i really haven't explored the UP yet either--it was always a straight line drive with one night in a hotel from detroit to duluth as a kid . . .
