I remember reading the original post. Such beautiful photos! And the notion of stepping out of my comfort zone, which I’ve been doing by inches over the past year is an excellent point. You never know what you can accomplish until you try.

Keep inching out of your comfort zone, Cathy. In my opinion, it’s always worth it—even if it backfires!

Photos are wonderful, and so are your recommendations, Annette. I was looking for a writing program I could do at home, having decided uncertain weather made it too difficult to take a week-long program at Brevard College this year, and voila! Your recommendation of "Writing in the Dark" showed up, facilitated by Jeannine Ouellette. Txs much! I signed right up. As Cathy said, "We've been here before, and together we can do it again!"

Jeanne is wonderful. I think you’ll love her. Let me know how it goes!

Stunning photos! I also appreciate your insightful reminders about the nature of resistance. We've been here before and together we can do it again!

Thank you! I don't believe we've been exactly here before, but I do believe that we're strong enough to sustain the barrage as long as we stick together!

Those are some fantastic sunrise shots, Annette!

Thank you, Troy. They were hard sought! LOL!

I have made it through the last few months on the strength of sunrises over the water. I don’t know what will replace that in two months time, when I have to move on, but I will keep your ideas close by. That quiet morning start has been a comfort and I want to keep doing it.

And you have taken some great photos of them! You’ll always find a way to see them. They’re in your soul.

Small actions count. Sometimes what attracts attention is something large, spectacular, noticeable. What we can do, no matter how disheartened we are, no matter how tired or broke or impatient, might be as small as smiling at someone waiting in a check-out line. Might involve writing a short note to someone we haven't been in touch with for awhile. We might double a recipe and take a loaf of homemade bread to someone who isn't able to get out easily any more. Might get up early and take some spectacular photos of sunrise, the way Annette did. Little things. Thanks for the gentle reminder, Annette, and thanks for these wonderful photos of Brother Sun. Blessings, patience, resilience, caring. All will be well. We can do it.

That is so true, Helen. Kindness is key. It’s impossible to know how bad things will get, but, no matter, we can always be kind.

Your words gsve validity to existence as resistance

Only occasionally are we called to courage - the open expression of resistance. People often confuse them.

Your sunrise photos are beautiful and renew my spirit.

Yes! Living the best life we can is an act of resistance in an environment like this one. Glad you enjoyed the photos!
