Dear Friends,
Happy Sunday! I’d planned to have the important “Chapter 20: Proof” of If You Only Knew, ready for you today, but sometimes plans choose their own course. My wife and I started a long-overdue vacation on Friday, and I thought I’d finish the chapter’s revisions on the long plane ride from Virginia to California. In the past, I’ve loved writing on planes. Earlier in the week, I told Wendy that I wasn’t going to stress about getting the chapter done before we left because “I love how creative I am when I’m flying.” That’ll work fine, I thought.
Unfortunately, whether it was the bumpy ride or the excitement about our trip five years in the making (the pandemic and a cancer diagnosis will do that), my attempts at revision fell flat.
So, instead of a chapter today, you’re getting a toast from San Diego and a couple photos of our first day of adventures there. I hope you enjoy them.

The chapter will come when it comes. Thanks for understanding and for your incredible support of my creative process!
Please stay cool!
Love to you,
Annette
I know you are both having a great time. It’s certainly well deserved.
ENJOY YOUR VACATION. Well deserved. Thank you for sharing these photos. Cheers! :)
